In college I transitioned into UX design, combining my love for narrative with my interest in technology. I honed my skills at Dartmouth's Digital Arts and Innovation Lab, where I worked all through college as a UX/UI designer.
Over 10 years ago I began with small clients, focusing on user research, analytics and user interface design. I then joined startups, attracted freelance clients, and worked at firms where I collaborated to solve interesting problems.
These experiences paved the way for my current role at a small media organization inside a much larger fintech company, where I tackle design projects that combine research, design, business strategy, and markets data knowledge.
Whether I'm crafting a memoir or delving into a research project, people are always at the heart of my creations. I've found that data-backed design not only improves functionality but also fosters a deeper connection with users, who are never just users; they're also students, patrons, lawyers, teachers, admins, consultants, parents, healthcare workers... the list goes on.
